Mr Nick Pereira

Nick is a neuro-musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and sports physiotherapist who practices in Pietermaritzburg, KZN. He is a prominent figure in the South African physiotherapy scene, and has an extensive background in sports physiotherapy and health as a business.

His experience includes being the physiotherapist for numerous sporting teams including Maritzburg United FC, SA Mens Indoor Hockey, SA Under-21 men’s Hockey and our national football team, Bafana Bafana. He currently holds numerous roles, namely Owner of Enhanced Physiotherapy, Head of Physio at Maritzburg United, Head of Physio at Hilton College School, Senior Partner at Pereira Van Biljon Physiotherapy, Research Consultant for South African Schools Hockey, as well as being a CPD course presenter on numerous physiotherapy-related courses. He has also recently started the Health and Performance Institute, Pietermaritzburg, which aims to increase the accessibility of high-level sports physiotherapy services to people in the PMB area.

Nick started his private practice journey in 2014, working in an outpatient practice and assisting in providing physiotherapy services to sports teams. He has subsequently gone on to start and grow his own practice, Enhanced Physiotherapy, which is now considered to be one of the leading neuromusculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy practices in KZN.

His business philosophy is based on sustainable growth and on-going partnerships with people. “I get more joy from building something with people than owning and running everything on my own and having my own name on everything. There is strength in collaboration and giving people a platform to develop and to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. To go fast, work alone. To go far, work together!”(African proverb).
