A/Prof Theresa Burgess is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Town. She has an extensive academic history, and specialises in the teaching of neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. In addition to her role in the UCT Division of Physiotherapy, she is also Deputy Chairperson of the UCT Human Research Ethics Committee and is considered an expert in the field of Bio and Medical Ethics.
