About Course
Youth athletes present unique challenges for clinicians, as physical development, training demands and sporting performance must be considered alongside growth and maturation. Effective management requires an understanding of how these factors influence injury risk, recovery, load tolerance and long-term athletic development.
Optimising Health and Performance in Youth Athletes provides clinicians with a practical, evidence-informed framework for supporting young athletes across training, injury prevention and rehabilitation. The course explores the interaction between growth and maturation, physical development, training load and performance, with consideration given to the specific demands of working with developing athletes.
Emphasis is placed on practical clinical application, equipping clinicians with strategies to support healthy athletic development, manage injury risk and rehabilitation and optimise performance throughout the youth athlete pathway.
