About Course
Female athletes experience unique physiological, hormonal and health considerations that can influence injury risk, recovery, training response and performance. Effective management requires clinicians to move beyond a one-size-fits-all approach and consider the broader factors that influence the health and performance of female athletes.
Optimising Health and Performance in Female Athletes provides clinicians with an evidence-based framework for understanding and managing the factors that influence female athlete health and performance. The course explores female-specific considerations across the lifespan, with attention to training, recovery, injury prevention and the interaction between athletic performance and overall health.
Emphasis is placed on practical application, equipping clinicians with strategies to recognise relevant considerations, communicate effectively with athletes and support training and rehabilitation approaches that promote both health and performance in female athletes.
