About Course

In this webinar, sports physiotherapist, Brett Phillips, will outline common ethical dilemmas faced on a daily basis by sports medicine practitioners.  In order to explore these ethical dilemmas, case discussions will be held in order to identify the underlying ethical principles, and how these can be used to assist decision-making in sporting environments.

Working in professional sport is a highly stressful environment – and one in which performance, winning and financial reward are often prioritised. In the midst of these organisational priorities, lies the medical team, who’s primary responsibility is to the individual patient, and not the organisation or collective. Wherever there are numerous role players in high-stakes situations, ethical dilemmas abound. And for the sports medicine practitioner, this is definitely the case.

Join the discussion to learn how to navigate these challenging situations. This is a reboot of last year’s discussion, with new cases and ideas to be discussed.
