About Course

In this webinar, musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist, Brett Phillips, discusses how to develop timelines for injury recovery, and how to pace and phase your patient’s recovery period from the time of injury to the time of return to play or full function.

One of the most challenging aspects of musculoskeletal injury management is developing an accurate prognosis (recovery period), and then ensuring that your patient’s recovery is optimised to the proposed time period.

Learn how to accurately estimate recovery periods, and then how to put together a management plan to fit this recovery timeframe.

What Will You Learn?

  • How to compile injury management plans for onset of injury to return to full activity
  • How to pace your rehabilitation during the various phases of recovery
  • How to sub-delineate your rehabilitation program into appropriate phases
  • How clinical management planning differs between acute and overuse injury
  • The influence of acute injury severity on clinical management planning

Initially I had abit of difficulty in determining pacing rehabilitation mostly due to the factor that I am in an acute setting but this taught me the basis to apply if I were to work in a outpatient or sport setting. Amazing lecture!
