About Course

Pain is a complex experience influenced by biological, psychological and social factors, and effective physiotherapy management requires clinicians to address more than the physical aspects of a patient’s condition. Understanding how pain is produced and maintained can help clinicians communicate more effectively and develop management strategies that support recovery and self-management.

Pain Neuroscience Education: A Primary Physiotherapy Intervention explores the role of pain neuroscience education as an active component of physiotherapy  management of pain. The course provides clinicians with an evidence-based understanding of pain mechanisms and explores how this knowledge can be translated into effective patient education and clinical practice.

Emphasis is placed on practical application, equipping clinicians with strategies to explain pain in a clear and meaningful way, address unhelpful beliefs and expectations, and integrate pain neuroscience education into broader physiotherapy management.
