Presenter Bio

Bianca Leader

Bianca completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town in 2018, graduating top of her class. During her professional training at UCT, she was awarded numerous academic awards, including the South African Society for Physiotherapy Trophy and the Paget Physiotherapy Award.

Bianca completed her community service at Livingstone Hospital in Port Elizabeth. During that time she completed a series of courses in dry needling, sports strapping, pain management and concussion rehabilitation.

Bianca is currently an Associate Physiotherapist at Brett Phillips Physiotherapy. Since graduating, Bianca has also worked with athletes of all levels, ranging from amateurs to elite professional. She is currently the Team Physiotherapist for False Bay 2nd XV rugby team, as well as part of the physiotherapy team to Cape Town City Ballet. She has also worked at a number of sporting events including the Cape Argus Cycle Tour and the Two Ocean’s Ultramarathon.

Bianca endeavours to make others feel empowered and involved through education and holistic therapeutic intervention. She constantly seeks knowledge and strives to provide the latest evidence-based treatment catering to her patient’s needs.
Outside of work Bianca enjoys hiking, playing hockey and watching English Premier League Football.
